Alien: Covenant, film del 2017 diretto dal grande Ridley Scott.
Inutile dire cosa ha fatto quest'uomo, perché l'ho già spiegato nella precedente vignetta dedicata a Prometheus.
E quindi... Cosa posso dire di questo film?!?

UNA BOIATA PAZZESCA!!! (niente applausi grazie!)
Ok, prima che qualcuno mi dica che esagero, permettetemi di spiegare:
Innanzitutto è un film che si prende sul serio, che ha le sue filosofie serie e che probabilmente è pieno di concetti seri (non sono un esperto e quindi non mi intrometto nelle sottotrame).
Visivamente rimane impeccabile anche se Prometheus si difendeva meglio.
Il problema è quando questa squadra di 15 persone di "super esperti" cominciano a esplorare questo fantomatico pianeta sconosciuto (scoperto attraverso un segnale sconosciuto... vi ricorda qualcosa?), "a naso" (letteralmente) simile alla Terra, uno di loro viene infettato e portato poi alla base (quarantena? Cos'è la quarantena?!?)...
Ecco, in quel caso arriva il delirio più assoluto!!!
Una serie di situazioni grottesche da far invidia a qualsiasi film dell'Asylum!
Cose che vanno ben oltre al semplice "accarezziamo l'alieno perché è carino".
Poi si ritorna alla trama filosofica, seria cupa, ma il grottesco sta dietro l'angolo...
Ah, mettiamoci anche l'alieno fatto in CGI da fare schifo ed ecco Alien: Covenant.
Quando ho pensato a questa vignetta-film e come spiegare la mia opinione, mi è venuto in mente un altro film che aveva quasi gli stessi problemi: Batman v Superman.
Zack Snyder non è Ridley Scott e qua siamo tutti d'accordo, ma il problema che hanno questi due film è lo stesso: non si sa dove vanno a parare.
Non puoi farmi un film serio e poi mettere personaggi idioti che si disperano, dicono parolacce a raffica per lo spavento, sparano a caso colpendo delle bombole di gas (avete letto bene) e poi ritrovarmi alla noia (perché il film è pure noioso) dei monologhi seri e che magari possono essere interessanti, ma che faccio fatica a credere dopo il trip mentale che ho visto qualche minuto prima.
O mi fai un film serio, senza elementi grotteschi al limite del Q.I. oppure mi fai un bel film ignorante su Alien stile Alien vs Predator.
Per non parlare della trama che è la copia dello stesso Alien.
Fattore ancora più grave, è che questo film è diretto da Ridley Scott, colui che ha creato dei grandi capolavori della storia del cinema mondiale e che oggi ci propone roba come questa!
Ecco perché ci vado pesante, proprio perché da un regista così mi aspetto di meglio.
Pensare che Scott avrebbe in mente ben 6 film partendo da Prometheus e che ha bloccato Neil Blomkamp per un altro film di Alien mi fa davvero rabbrividire...
Per chi non lo sapesse, Blomkamp è regista di alcune perle come District 9 e Chappie (in Italia chiamato Humandroid ).
Forse Scott dovrebbe prendere esempio da George Lucas, lasciando certe opere in mani altrui sotto la sua supervisione (almeno eviterebbe mille riedizioni di Director's Cut)...

Needless to say, what did this man, because I have already explained in the previous cartoon dedicated to Prometheus.
So what... What can I say about this movie?!?

REINFECTION! (no applause thank you!)
OK, before anyone tell me that I exaggerate, let me explain:
First, it is a film that takes itself seriously, which has its philosophies serial and that is probably full of serious concepts (not an expert so I'm intruding in subplots).
Visually remains flawless though Prometheus defending better.
The problem is when this team of 15 people to "super experts" begins to explore this elusive unknown planet (discovered through an unknown signal reminds you something?), "a nose" (literally) similar to Earth, one of them gets infected and then brought to the base (quarantine? What is quarantine?!?) ...
Behold, then comes the absolute frenzy!
A series of grotesque situations would envy to any Asylum movies!
Things that go far beyond just "we caress the alien because it's cute."
Then return to the gloomy, serious, philosophical storyline but the grotesque is around the corner ...
Ah, let's get even the alien made in CGI to do crap and here's Alien: Covenant.
When I thought about this cartoon-movie and how to explain my opinion, I was reminded of another film that had almost the same problems: Batman v Superman.
Zack Snyder is not Ridley Scott and here we all agree, but the problem I have these two films is the same: you don't know where they're going with this.
You can't do a serious movie and then put morons who get frustrated characters, swearing in bursts with fright, shoot at random hitting of gas cylinders (you read that right) and then find myself to boredom (because the movie is boring) monologues serious and maybe can be interesting, but I find it hard to believe after the trip that I have seen a few minutes before.
Or give me a serious movie, grotesque elements without verging on I.q. or make me a good movie ignorant about Alien style Alien vs Predator.
Not to mention the texture that is a copy of the same Alien.
An even more serious factor is that this film is directed by Ridley Scott, the one who has created great masterpieces in the history of world cinema and who is presenting us stuff like this today!
That's why I go heavy, just because from a director so I expect better.

Think that Scott would have in mind 6 movies from Prometheus who blocked Neil Blomkamp for Alien movie really makes me cringe ...
For the uninitiated, Blomkamp is Director of some gems like District 9 and Chappie (in Italy called Humandroid).
Maybe Scott should take example from George Lucas, leaving certain works in the hands of others under his supervision (at least it would avoid a thousand editions of Director's Cut) ...
